Can I pay a family member or friend to be my caregiver/attendant?
Yes, this is an option through both self-directed programs in Colorado.
How do I get started applying for self-directed services in Colorado?
- Contact your case manager to start the process and they will submit a referral to us at Consumer Direct Care Network Colorado (CDCO) for Consumer Directed Attendant Support Services (CDASS) orientation or will assist with setting up In Home Support Services (IHSS) through a home health agency.
- If you do not have a case manager yet you can look up which case management agency serves your county here https://hcpf.colorado.gov/case-management-agency-directory.
